Up for auction today is what is considered by many, the best vintage Triumph made, a 1970 Bonneville T120R. This machine was completely restored some years ago and has been ridden very sparingly since, spending most of its’ time inside as a piece of artwork and that it is. This is a numbers matching machine with the engine having been professionally rebuilt by a vintage shop in Seattle. My info is that during the rebuild all NOS parts were used where ever possible. Cylinder is powdercoated as is much of the black on the machine. The machine starts and runs very well and believe it or not, all electrics work as intended and the bike leaks no oil. Ignition is electronic and the horn is an aftermarket item. I understand this particular model was produced with dual horns and the wires are complete for that should they be sourced in the future. The seat is the two tone silver and black which I understand was only available in England but it does match the paint nicely. Chrome and stainless is quite nice and much of the aluminum has been well polished. I believe this bike is almost show quality and certainly a very fine rider quality.
