This is a 750cc. 1978 Triumph Bonneville T140E with a clear title and matching frame and engine numbers. I am the second owner and this has been my running rider for the last 27 years. I have owned and maintained a number of vintage motorcycles with model years dating back to a 1948. I say this only to let you know that I know how to keep an older bike running. The carbs on this bike were recently tuned by a vintage Triumph/BSA specialist. Battery is 4 months old. The speedometer was replaced by the original owner, so the actual mileage is unknown. The rubber is good. The bars are the lower European style Triumph type. A few very small paint chips, but no dents in tank or side covers. I will include the original owner’s manual, a workshop manual and an assortment of replacement gaskets. Nose of the front fender is scuffed. It drips a small amount of oil, like many older bikes. It took about three weeks to deposit a quarter-sized spot on my floor. This bike starts and runs as it should. I have included a video of start-up, where I touch the pipes to show it’s a cold start. Generally I would rate this bike high in the “Very Good” category. It took Second Place at a Vintage Ride-In Show at Sturgis in 2015.
